Description
KMC – SPROCKET CHECKER
The KMC Sprocket Checker is a wear indicator to asses the rear sprocket condition and avoid chain slip on worn sprockets. For use with 12 – 21 tooth sprockets.
1 – Place the checker’s chain on the sprocket with the bottom rounded end of the handle between two teeth and the test link angling away from the sprocket.
2 – Apply about 10kg of force onto the handle in the direction of the sprocket/drive rotation. While the checker chain is under load, swing the test link into the sprocket.
3 – If the test link easily moves onto the tooth’s bottom, this means the sprocket is in good condition.
